Vassilis Protogerou, Un Urologo Griego En Urologia Clinica Bilbao.
My dear friends of Urologia Clinica Bilbao
I came to visit your department after the enthusiastic words a Greek colleague urologist- Nikos has told me about you. I must emphasize how much true he was! You have a Department very well organized that can handle practically all the fields of urology. From the usual standard cases (cystoscopies, TUR’s and such) but also to the most advanced ones like percutaneous nephrolithotomies, flexible ureteral-nephroscopies, difficult laparoscopic cases and also robotical Da Vinci operations. But two things really impressed me the most: the first is the friendly atmosphere that was in your clinic and the true collaboration that exist between you, that make the patient feel safe that whatever his problem is, his is in the hands of a very efficient team that can handle everything. The second is the complete absence of stress when you operated: even in most difficult cases you were so relax that you made it look like “a walk in the park”. This is an absolute proof of your high operative skills! And also you are interest in innovative techniques. Ander show me a video with a really clever and practical way that Gaspar has introduced with the use of laser to solve problems created by incontinence slings, and you are keep pushing urology further by organizing workshops, in one of them I was lucky to participate.
Thanks a lot that you allowed me to be for a while part of your vivid team. Looking forward to come again in the future.
